Email: mehrdad__DOT__sabetzadeh__AT__uni.luI am a Research Scientist at the Interdisciplinary Centre for ICT Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg. Previously, I held research positions at Simula Research Laboratory, where I worked first as a Postdoctoral Fellow (2009-2011) and subsequently as a Permanent Staff Scientist (2011-2012). Prior to that, I was a Postdoctoral Fellow at University College London, supported by an NSERC grant from the Government of Canada.
My research interests are focused on software engineering, and more specifically on modelling and analysis of software requirements. My current work is concerned primarily with Requirements Quality Assurance (RQA) for business- and mission-critical applications. In particular, I am interested in the development of techniques to support reasoning about the satisfaction of dependability requirements and demonstrating compliance with standards and legal frameworks that regulate different aspects of dependability.
One of the main objectives I pursue in my research is to foster closer ties between academia and the industry. The large majority of the projects I have been involved in in recent years have been conducted in close collaboration with industry partners. My research activities span several industry sectors, including public service, telecommunication, maritime, energy, railways, and automotive.
